Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations with precision
- Conduct regular security patrols and headcounts to maintain order
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and medical situations swiftly
- Document all incidents and maintain detailed shift reports
- Screen visitors and packages to ensure facility security protocols
- Collaborate with team members to implement safety procedures
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation when required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification
- Minimum 21 years of age at time of appointment
- U.S. citizenship and valid California driver's license
- Ability to pass rigorous background investigation and polygraph
- Physical fitness to meet departmental standards
- Experience in law enforcement or corrections preferred
- Strong conflict resolution and communication skills
