Responsibilities
- Monitor federal, state, and local regulatory changes affecting municipal operations
- Conduct internal audits and compliance assessments for all departments
- Develop and implement compliance training programs for 500+ employees
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for executive leadership and audit committees
- Collaborate with legal counsel to resolve compliance violations
- Manage vendor compliance contracts and third-party risk assessments
- Lead cross-functional compliance improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- 3+ years of compliance or regulatory experience in government
- Proficiency with federal/state regulatory frameworks (FEMA, OSHA, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with Gantt project management tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Tennessee driver's license
- Ability to obtain security clearance within 30 days
