Responsibilities
- Monitor federal, state, and local regulations to ensure organizational compliance
- Conduct internal audits and prepare compliance reports for city leadership
- Develop and implement policy documentation for municipal departments
- Collaborate with legal counsel to address regulatory violations
- Train staff on updated compliance protocols and procedures
- Manage vendor contracts and procurement processes
- Respond to public records requests within statutory deadlines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Law, or related field
- 3+ years of government compliance experience
- Proficiency in municipal regulations and Virginia state codes
- Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) preferred
- Advanced knowledge of FOIA and public record laws
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- US citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
