The Role:
You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of federal networks, ensuring data security, and providing technical support to government agencies in the El Paso region. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can work in a fast-paced, high-security environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and troubleshoot federal network infrastructure, hardware, and systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal security protocols, DFARS regulations, and NIST standards.
- Provide Level 3 technical support to federal personnel and resolve complex IT issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, firewalls, VPNs, and secure communications channels.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and system patching.
- Document network configurations and maintain accurate technical records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT best practices.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in federal IT environments or government contracting.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and wireless networking protocols.
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or Microsoft Server environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a secure facility.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
