Responsibilities
- Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of federal projects to ensure delivery within scope, time, and budget.
- Compliance & Regulations: Ensure strict adherence to federal acquisition regulations (FAR), agency-specific policies, and compliance standards throughout all project phases.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for government clients, providing regular status reports, presentations, and addressing concerns promptly.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential project risks early and implement strategic mitigation plans to prevent schedule delays or budget overruns.
- Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, analysts, and administrative staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Contract Administration: Manage contract deliverables, negotiate changes, and maintain accurate documentation for audit purposes.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal project management or program management within the U.S. government contracting sector.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance or higher is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, JIRA, or Primavera P6.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information to senior leadership.
