Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and process incoming government correspondence, applications, and documents with high accuracy.
- Manage and update public databases and records using government-approved software systems.
- Assist the public and internal staff with inquiries regarding city services and procedures.
- Prepare and organize reports, meeting minutes, and departmental filings.
- Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal government regulations and protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Public Service preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or government office setting is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Valid Illinois driver’s license is a plus.
