Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce federal, state, and municipal compliance standards across city departments
- Conduct comprehensive audits of procurement processes and contract documentation
- Develop and implement compliance training programs for 500+ municipal employees
- Investigate regulatory violations and recommend corrective action plans
- Collaborate with legal counsel to update compliance protocols
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for city council and executive leadership
- Stay current with evolving regulatory requirements in public sector operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of compliance experience in government or regulated industry
- Advanced knowledge of federal procurement regulations (FAR) and Nevada state statutes
- Professional certification (e.g., CCEP, CAMS) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail in documentation review
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities for stakeholder reporting
- Proficiency in compliance software (e.g., RSA Archer, Navex Global)
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
