Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce federal, state, and local regulatory compliance across all city departments
- Develop and implement compliance policies and training programs
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments for procedural adherence
- Collaborate with legal counsel to address compliance violations
- Maintain accurate documentation of compliance activities and findings
- Advise leadership on emerging regulatory changes and mitigation strategies
- Represent the city in compliance-related stakeholder meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Law, or related field
- 3+ years of compliance experience in government/public sector
- Strong knowledge of federal/state regulations (FEMA, OSHA, HIPAA)
- Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP) preferred
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines
- Valid Colorado driver's license
- U.S. citizenship required for federal clearance
