Responsibilities
- Oversee the intake, processing, and management of urgent public service requests and permit applications.
- Coordinate cross-departmental communications to ensure timely resolution of city operations issues.
- Maintain and update accurate, confidential public records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of detailed reports, briefings, and documentation for city council meetings.
- Respond to high-volume inquiries from citizens via phone, email, and in-person, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Enforce compliance with municipal codes and internal administrative procedures.
- Support the Director in implementing new government efficiency initiatives.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; an Associate’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably within a government or public sector environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with government ERP systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex information for the public.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- U.S. Citizenship or valid permanent residency status is required.
