Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily administration of the Kentucky State Pension Plan, ensuring all calculations are accurate and timely.
- Analyze complex pension data and prepare detailed reports for retirees, actuaries, and government oversight committees.
- Ensure full compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and state pension statutes.
- Conduct internal audits of pension records to identify discrepancies and prevent fraud.
- Collaborate with HR and Legal teams to interpret and apply new pension legislation.
- Maintain and update pension policy documentation and employee handbooks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in government pension administration, payroll processing, or actuarial support.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant government regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel advanced) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with absolute confidentiality.
