Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a proactive professional to manage the full lifecycle of security clearances and maintain the integrity of our classified information systems. This role requires a meticulous attention to detail and the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end security clearance process, including investigations, adjudications, and appeals for federal personnel.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to ensure adherence to NISPOM and agency-specific security directives.
- Coordinate with Human Resources, Legal, and Operations to resolve security eligibility issues and policy violations.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation for all security-related activities and personnel files.
- Provide expert guidance to employees regarding sensitive information handling, access controls, and reporting requirements.
- Monitor changes in federal security policies and implement necessary organizational adjustments promptly.
- Act as the primary point of contact for security inquiries from federal oversight bodies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or a related field; High School Diploma/GED with significant experience will be considered.
- Clearance: Current Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal security, defense contracting, or intelligence operations.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the NISPOM, DoD directives, and federal personnel security standards.
- Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; strong attention to detail.
- Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex regulations to diverse audiences.
