Responsibilities
- Mail Processing: Sort, screen, and process incoming and outgoing mail and packages efficiently and accurately.
- Vehicle Operation: Safely operate delivery vehicles and sorting equipment, including vans and handheld scanning devices.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer inquiries, and resolve issues regarding deliveries and services.
- Route Management: Adhere to established delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Physical Stamina: Lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to 70 lbs regularly throughout the shift.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean work area and adhere to all safety protocols and company regulations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, and package status.
Qualifications
- Eligibility: Must be at least 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a background check and pass a pre-employment physical exam demonstrating the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read and interpret maps and delivery instructions.
- Teamwork: Must be a self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team.
