Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting Tarrant County's priority health needs
- Coordinate emergency preparedness responses for natural disasters and public health crises
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify disease trends and inform intervention strategies
- Manage community partnerships with healthcare providers, schools, and non-profits
- Oversee grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with state/federal regulations
- Lead health education campaigns on topics like vaccination, chronic disease prevention, and maternal health
- Prepare reports for state legislators and public health advisory boards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in public health program management
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Strong knowledge of Texas public health regulations and frameworks
- Experience managing grants with budgets exceeding $500,000
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Valid Texas driver's license
