Responsibilities
- Inspect construction sites for compliance with city codes and engineering specifications
- Review and approve public works project documentation
- Investigate citizen complaints regarding infrastructure issues
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and violation notices
- Oversee emergency infrastructure repairs during critical situations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction inspection or civil engineering experience
- Valid Nebraska Professional Engineer (PE) or Inspector certification
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification
- Strong knowledge of municipal infrastructure standards
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and inclement weather
- Valid Nebraska driver's license
