Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on state and local government regulations to support policy development.
- Develop and implement strategic policy frameworks that align with San Francisco's digital infrastructure goals.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, IT, and community stakeholders, to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, white papers, and presentations for senior leadership and the City Council.
- Manage federal and state grant applications, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines and reporting requirements.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings to gather requirements and provide strategic guidance on legislative changes.
- Monitor legislative trends to advise the department on potential impacts on current projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Urban Planning, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in government contracting, public policy analysis, or a related government role.
- Deep understanding of California state government procedures and San Francisco municipal codes.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Government Project Management is a strong plus.
