Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, and execute complex IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and stakeholders, to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Oversee project budgets, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure cost-effective delivery.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies proactively.
- Ensure strict compliance with government regulations, including state procurement laws and security standards.
- Communicate project status, progress, and challenges to executive leadership and external partners effectively.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably within the public sector or government.
- Proven experience managing large-scale software development projects or infrastructure upgrades.
- Strong knowledge of Project Management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- PMP, CAPM, or PgMP certification is highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, regulatory environment.
