Responsibilities
- Lead vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for federal IT systems
- Develop and implement advanced intrusion detection/prevention protocols
- Coordinate incident response for cyber threats across multiple agencies
- Conduct risk analyses for new technologies and cloud migration initiatives
- Maintain compliance with FISMA, NIST, and federal cybersecurity frameworks
- Mentor junior cybersecurity analysts and conduct training workshops
- Collaborate with FBI, CISA, and state/local partners on threat intelligence
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience in federal/government sector
- Security+ CE, CISSP, or CISM certification required
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security architectures
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Demonstrated ability to handle classified data with active clearance
- Strong knowledge of federal IT security policies and procedures
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for technical reporting
