Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of food establishments, childcare centers, and public facilities
- Investigate public health complaints and enforce regulatory standards
- Develop and deliver public health education programs to community stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on emergency preparedness initiatives
- Maintain accurate inspection records and generate detailed compliance reports

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health inspection or regulatory compliance
- Certified Public Health Inspector (CPHI) or equivalent credential required
- Strong knowledge of Kentucky state health regulations and CDC guidelines
- Exceptional communication skills for diverse stakeholder interactions
- Valid Kentucky driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends for inspections
- Proficiency in health data management software (e.g., SIMS)
