Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the administration, maintenance, and security of the county’s server infrastructure and network systems.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data against breaches.
- Perform regular system backups, disaster recovery planning, and routine hardware upgrades.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for end-users and departmental applications.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure optimal performance of third-party software and hardware solutions.
- Conduct network audits and maintain detailed documentation of system architecture and configurations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent years of experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration within a government or enterprise environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are highly preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
