Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the daily operations of server infrastructure, including Windows and Linux environments.
- Configure and troubleshoot network hardware and security protocols to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
- Oversee server patching, updates, and disaster recovery procedures to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new IT solutions and software deployments.
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve technical issues to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Conduct regular security audits and compliance checks in accordance with state regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Valid CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
