Responsibilities
- Manage Weekend Operations: Oversee and coordinate all administrative and operational functions within the office during weekend shifts to ensure continuity of service.
- Public Inquiries: Assist citizens, businesses, and state agencies with inquiries, document requests, and service delivery via phone, email, and in-person.
- Document Management: Process, verify, and file a high volume of government records, permits, and official correspondence with strict attention to accuracy and confidentiality.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all weekend activities adhere to California state laws, agency policies, and procedural guidelines.
- Departmental Coordination: Communicate with other divisions and state agencies to resolve issues and facilitate information sharing during off-hours.
- System Maintenance: Monitor and troubleshoot basic office technology and database systems to maintain operational readiness.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative support, customer service, or government operations.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a regular, recurring basis.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database management systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
