Responsibilities
- Manage and secure city-wide network infrastructure including firewalls and VPN systems
- Implement cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive citizen data
- Provide Level 3 technical support for municipal software systems
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on digital transformation projects
- Document IT processes and maintain system documentation
- Coordinate disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning
- Stay current on emerging technologies and compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years experience in enterprise IT infrastructure management
- CompTIA Security+ and/or Cisco CCNA certification required
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration and cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Experience with government compliance standards (FISMA, NIST)
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Texas driver's license and ability to work flexible hours during emergencies
