Responsibilities
- Provide advanced Tier 2/3 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues for City staff.
- Manage and prioritize the Help Desk ticketing system to ensure rapid resolution times.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of desktop environments and mobile devices.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement security patches and access controls.
- Conduct regular system audits and hardware inventory management to ensure compliance.
- Mentor junior IT staff and participate in on-call rotation for critical system incidents.
- Document technical procedures and maintain detailed knowledge bases for end-users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3-5 years of professional experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Experience working in a government or large enterprise environment is highly preferred.
- Certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ is a strong plus.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users.
- US Citizenship required for government security clearance.
