Responsibilities
- Maintain public parks, facilities, and streetscapes through daily upkeep and seasonal projects
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., mowers, sweepers) for landscaping and sanitation
- Respond to emergency public works incidents (floods, debris, safety hazards)
- Perform routine inspections of municipal infrastructure (sidewalks, signage, drainage)
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams during city events and festivals
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Nevada driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Experience with landscaping, construction, or public works preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Fluency in English; bilingual candidates encouraged
