Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of public parks, streets, and facilities including landscaping, trash removal, and minor repairs
- Operate municipal equipment safely (e.g., trucks, mowers, hand tools)
- Respond to citizen service requests and report infrastructure concerns
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during community events and emergency response
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and city safety protocols
- Complete daily work logs and administrative documentation
- Support stormwater management and environmental sustainability initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 2 years of outdoor maintenance or construction experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks in extreme weather
- Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and landscaping tools
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
