Responsibilities
- Develop and implement community health intervention programs targeting underserved neighborhoods
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, NGOs, and city agencies to coordinate emergency response initiatives
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and recommend policy adjustments
- Manage grant-funded projects totaling $500K+ annually for health equity programs
- Lead public awareness campaigns on vaccination, nutrition, and disease prevention
- Oversee compliance with federal/state health regulations and reporting requirements
- Mentor junior staff through cross-departmental health initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in municipal or state government health programs
- Valid Michigan Public Health Administrator certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Advanced proficiency in health data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI)
- Demonstrated success in securing federal/state health grants
- Experience managing crisis response during public health emergencies
- Strong bilingual skills (English/Spanish) highly preferred
- Crisis communication certification required
