Responsibilities
- Coordinate statewide emergency response operations during public health crises
- Develop and implement community resilience programs across 12 counties
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform strategic decision-making
- Train first responders and healthcare providers in crisis protocols
- Collaborate with federal agencies (CDC/FEMA) during disaster declarations
- Manage grant-funded projects totaling $2M+ annually
- Lead inter-agency task forces for cross-functional crisis management
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 5+ years experience in public health crisis response
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent credential
- Expertise in pandemic preparedness protocols and FEMA NIMS compliance
- Advanced data analysis skills (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Proven ability to manage multi-agency coalitions under pressure
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
