Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of food establishments, childcare centers, and public facilities
- Investigate public health complaints and enforce health regulations

- Provide health education to business owners and community members
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams during public health emergencies
- Maintain accurate records using digital inspection management systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, or related field
- Valid California Environmental Health Specialist Registration (REHS)
- Minimum 2 years regulatory inspection experience
- Strong knowledge of California Food Code and HACCP principles
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends
- Valid California driver's license
