Responsibilities
- Conduct urgent field investigations for disease outbreaks and health emergencies
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify trends and risk factors
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, labs, and community partners
- Develop and execute intervention strategies for public health threats
- Document investigations and prepare detailed reports for regulatory compliance
- Provide health education to at-risk populations and stakeholders
- Participate in after-hours emergency response rotations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of public health investigation experience
- Certified in Epidemiology (CEPH) or equivalent credential
- Proficiency with GIS mapping and statistical analysis software
- Valid Indiana driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights/weekends
- Strong crisis communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with HIPAA and public health regulations
