Responsibilities
- Lead community health assessments and outbreak investigations
- Develop and implement evidence-based health education programs
- Provide clinical services in immunization clinics and health screenings
- Collaborate with local agencies on emergency preparedness planning
- Collect and analyze epidemiological data for public health reporting
- Train healthcare professionals on state health protocols
- Advocate for health equity initiatives underserved populations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact license)
- Bachelor's in Nursing (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years public/community health experience
- Certification in Public Health (CPH) or Epidemiology
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills
- Experience with EMR systems and health data platforms
- Bilingual in Spanish/English (highly valued)
- Ability to work flexible hours including emergency response
