Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections of construction projects to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Review engineering plans and specifications for public works infrastructure
- Document inspection findings and prepare detailed compliance reports

- Investigate citizen complaints related to public works issues
- Enforce safety protocols and environmental standards on job sites
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of construction inspection experience in government/public sector
- Valid California Inspector certification (QAC, ICC, or equivalent)
- Proficiency with CAD software and inspection documentation tools
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, CalOSHA, and ADA regulations
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
