Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health strategies for disease prevention and emergency response
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and recommend interventions
- Collaborate with local health departments, community organizations, and state agencies
- Conduct community outreach programs and health education initiatives
- Prepare detailed reports and policy recommendations for state leadership
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with state/federal regulations
- Mentor junior staff and coordinate cross-functional health initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of public health program implementation experience
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends for emergency response
- Experience with health equity initiatives and diverse community engagement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with policy development experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
