Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate court records, documents, and case files in compliance with legal standards
- Process and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and judgments with meticulous attention to detail
- Provide exceptional customer service to attorneys, litigants, and court visitors regarding procedures, schedules, and case status
- Operate specialized court software and systems for data entry, record retrieval, and calendar management
- Collect and account for fees, fines, and other payments according to established protocols
- Coordinate with judges, attorneys, and court staff to ensure efficient courtroom operations
- Prepare official notices, summonses, and correspondence while maintaining strict confidentiality
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in criminal justice or paralegal studies preferred
- Minimum 2 years of clerical or legal administrative experience in a court or legal setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and court-specific record-keeping systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and document processing
