Responsibilities
- Manage and administer federal pension plans to ensure accurate and timely disbursements to eligible retirees.
- Analyze employee service records and financial data to calculate retirement benefits and projections.
- Ensure full compliance with federal regulations, ERISA, and state pension laws.
- Conduct regular audits of pension records and prepare detailed compliance reports.
- Advise federal employees on eligibility, enrollment, and vesting schedules for pension plans.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to update plan documents and resolve complex benefit discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in pension administration or federal benefits management.
- Strong working knowledge of ERISA regulations and federal retirement systems (e.g., FERS, CSRS).
- Proficiency in financial software, databases, and MS Office Suite (Excel required).
- Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass a federal background check.
