Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze federal, state, and local legislation to identify emerging trends and impacts on stakeholders.
- Develop and implement strategic advocacy plans to influence policy outcomes and regulatory changes.
- Represent Apex Government Services before government bodies, including Congress, state legislatures, and local agencies.
- Build and maintain high-level relationships with key policymakers, industry leaders, and community stakeholders.
- Prepare comprehensive briefing materials, testimony, and reports for executive leadership.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams to align government relations strategies with organizational goals.
- Manage a robust portfolio of advocacy projects and ensure strict adherence to deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in government relations, public policy, or legislative affairs.
- Deep understanding of the federal and state regulatory landscape, specifically within California.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven track record of successful advocacy.
- Ability to navigate complex political environments and influence decision-makers effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for meetings, hearings, and industry events.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize complex information.
