Responsibilities
- Process 911 and non-emergency calls with exceptional speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police/fire/EMS units using CAD/RMS systems during critical incidents
- Maintain precise call logs and incident documentation
- Provide clear, calm instructions to callers in high-stress situations
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and specialized emergency equipment
- Collaborate with field units during active emergencies
- Complete mandatory dispatcher certification training modules
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum 35 WPM typing proficiency
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
- Fluency in English (Spanish bilingual candidates strongly encouraged)
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
- Must be at least 18 years old
