Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and equipment operation
- Assist in stormwater drainage system maintenance and repairs
- Operate light machinery (bobcats, dump trucks, etc.) safely and efficiently
- Install and repair public infrastructure (sidewalks, signs, traffic signals)
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and wear required PPE
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal projects
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- OSHA 10-hour certification a plus
