Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure for state and federal government contracts.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget are strictly adhered to.
- Communicate project status, risks, and deliverables to stakeholders and government officials effectively.
- Manage resource allocation and mentor a team of junior project managers and analysts.
- Ensure all deliverables comply with federal regulations, FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation), and agency-specific policies.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings and prepare comprehensive performance reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within a government or federal contracting environment.
- Proven experience managing budgets exceeding $1M and leading teams of 10+ members.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile/Scrum.
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one within 6 months).
- Experience with Jira, Microsoft Project, and SharePoint.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related technical field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex organizational hierarchies.
