Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and metal detectors to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct thorough physical searches of persons and property as needed
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes against passenger manifests
- Identify and report suspicious items or security threats following protocols
- Maintain orderly checkpoint operations while providing excellent customer service
- Collaborate with law enforcement during security incidents
- Document security activities and maintain accurate records
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Basic computer literacy for checkpoint systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods in high-traffic environments
- Successfully complete TSA training certification program
