Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect mail, packages, and other items along established routes using provided postal vehicles
- Sort and organize mail efficiently according to delivery sequences and regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery records and customer communication regarding special handling requests
- Safely operate postal vehicles and adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Load/unload mail containers and equipment with proper lifting techniques
- Report unusual conditions, hazards, or suspicious activities promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid state driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly and carry mail bag weighing 35+ pounds
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and tracking systems
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
