Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect mail, parcels, and packages along assigned routes in all weather conditions
- Sort and organize mail efficiently using automated equipment and manual sorting
- Operate delivery vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws and USPS guidelines
- Interact professionally with customers at residences and businesses
- Complete delivery manifests and maintain accurate delivery records
- Perform light maintenance on assigned delivery vehicles
- Follow USPS security protocols for mail handling and customer privacy
- Work flexible schedules including Saturdays and holidays as needed
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid state driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry mail trays weighing up to 70 pounds
- Physical stamina to walk long distances (6-8 hours daily) and stand for extended periods
- Reliable transportation to work location
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
