Responsibilities
- Deliver Mail: Sort and deliver mail and packages to residential and business customers along an assigned route.
- Collect Mail: Collect and process outgoing mail from mailboxes and post office collection boxes.
- Maintain Safety: Adhere to all postal safety regulations and ensure the security of the mail and the public.
- Route Management: Maintain the established route and schedule to ensure timely delivery.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer inquiries, and resolve service issues.
- Vehicle Operation: Operate a letter carrier vehicle (if required by the route) in a safe and responsible manner.
Qualifications
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legal Status: Must be a U.S. citizen or have legal right to work in the U.S.
- Driver's License: Possess a valid state driver's license (required for most routes).
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly and walk for extended periods.
- Residency: Must be a resident of Lincoln, NE or willing to relocate.
