Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and business customers along an assigned route in a safe and timely manner.
- Sort and organize mail efficiently before beginning the daily delivery.
- Obtain proper signatures for registered or certified mail and notify customers of missed delivery attempts.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including the proper maintenance of USPS vehicles.
- Adhere to all USPS safety regulations and operational procedures at all times.
- Interact professionally with the public and resolve any delivery inquiries or issues.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and bending as required by the job.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- U.S. citizenship or legal alien status required.
- Must pass a background check, criminal history check, and drug screen.
- Must be able to lift and carry packages weighing up to 70 pounds repeatedly.
- Must possess a valid driver's license (or obtain one).
- Must have the ability to work in all weather conditions and be physically fit.
