Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and parcels to customers along a designated route in a timely and accurate manner.
- Sort and organize incoming mail and outbound packages efficiently before and after the daily delivery run.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, handling inquiries and resolving delivery issues.
- Utilize handheld scanning devices to verify delivery statuses and update the Postal Service tracking system in real-time.
- Maintain a safe work environment by strictly adhering to all safety protocols, traffic regulations, and physical standards.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting parcels weighing up to 70 lbs, walking routes of varying distances, and standing for extended periods.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record (required for vehicle operation).
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screening.
- U.S. Citizenship or legal permanent resident status.
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, and walking for long distances throughout the workday.
