Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to customers along a prescribed route in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.
- Sort and process incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail.
- Interact professionally with customers to answer questions and resolve concerns.
- Operate a vehicle (if applicable) and ensure the vehicle is clean and maintained.
- Follow all USPS safety regulations and procedures to ensure personal and public safety.
- Handle mail with care, ensuring sensitive documents are not damaged or lost.
- Adapt to changing weather conditions and route adjustments.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license (or ability to obtain one).
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Ability to walk or drive long distances and work in all weather conditions.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Pass a drug test and background check.
