Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses along assigned routes
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and efficiently in all weather conditions
- Sort and organize mail according to delivery sequences and regulations
- Collect mail from mailboxes and businesses during collection runs
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report delivery irregularities
- Operate automated delivery equipment and handheld scanning devices
- Provide courteous customer service during interactions at residences and businesses
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent resident status with valid work authorization
- Valid state driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and carry mail sacks weighing 35-50 pounds
- Ability to walk 5-8 hours daily on varied terrain (sidewalks, stairs, hills)
- Basic computer literacy for operating scanning devices and digital systems
- Reliable transportation to and from work location
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays during peak seasons
