Responsibilities
- Sort and process mail efficiently and accurately according to postal regulations and schedules.
- Deliver mail and packages along established routes in a timely and professional manner.
- Interact with customers to answer inquiries and resolve any delivery issues with a positive attitude.
- Maintain vehicle safety and ensure the proper handling of mail receptacles and equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure the security of mail in transit.
- Manage time effectively to meet daily delivery quotas while ensuring high-quality service.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required for most positions.
- Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 70 pounds repeatedly.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions (extreme heat, rain, snow).
- Pass a criminal background check and a drug screening.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic computer skills and ability to read maps.
