Responsibilities
- Review and process veterans' disability compensation claims with meticulous attention to detail
- Communicate effectively with veterans, family members, and VA stakeholders regarding claim status
- Maintain accurate digital and physical records in accordance with federal regulations
- Assist in gathering supporting documentation for veterans' benefit applications
- Provide guidance on VA benefit programs and eligibility requirements
- Collaborate with senior claims processors to resolve complex cases
- Participate in quarterly training on VA policy updates
- Ensure compliance with Privacy Act and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in administrative support
- Minimum 1 year experience in customer service or claims processing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and empathy
- Basic knowledge of veterans' benefits preferred
- Pass pre-employment background check
