- Perform health information coding using ICD-10 and CPT classification systems
- Conduct quality audits of medical documentation to ensure regulatory compliance
- Train healthcare staff on health information management best practices
- Generate statistical reports for healthcare quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with IT teams on system upgrades and data security protocols
- Ensure accurate patient data entry and retrieval processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification required
- Minimum 2 years experience in healthcare data management
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/VA-specific experience preferred)
- Knowledge of HIPAA, VA, and CMS regulations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- US citizenship required for federal position
