- Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and medical records management using VISTA system
- Process healthcare claims, billing, and third-party collections with precision
- Serve as primary liaison between veterans, healthcare providers, and administrative staff
- Ensure strict HIPAA and federal healthcare regulation compliance
- Manage medical supply inventory and procurement procedures
- Generate performance reports and analytics for departmental leadership
- Train and mentor new staff on administrative protocols
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years medical office or VA healthcare experience
- Proficiency in VISTA system and electronic health records
- Knowledge of federal healthcare regulations (HIPAA, 38 CFR)
- Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- U.S. citizenship and background clearance required
